Betsy MacDonald and Len MacDonald
Len MacDonald and his daughter Betsy have been singing and playing music together for over three decades. From family gatherings to bonfire singalongs, holiday events and celebrations of life, Betsy and Len bring a natural blend of harmony, acoustic guitar playing, folklore and fun. With Antigonish as home base, their musical journey has taken them as far as St. Catharines, Ontario (and even Victoria, BC if you count Betsy’s grade 12 band trip)! Find them in their element entertaining seniors, jamming in a folk festival campground, or onstage at a local event… like the Antigonish Art Fair!

The Micheal Tellum Quartette
Michael attended STFX where upon he graduated with a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours in 2024. In addition, he was awarded the university's gold medal for the highest average in the program.
Michael continues to write music and plans to release an album of original compositions through funding from the Canada Council for the Arts. Michael brings along 3 other amazing jazz musicians for a fun evening at the Antigonish Art Fair.

Rebecca McDonald

Rebecca McDonald is a singer-songwriter living and working in Antigonish. She is originally from Peterborough, ON and moved to Nova Scotia to pursue a Bachelor of Music Therapy degree. Rebecca is a local music therapist who works at St. Martha’s and with various other facilities and organizations throughout Antigonish.In her other time, Rebecca enjoys performing and sharing her music with others. Rebecca primarily plays the guitar and sings, but also plays piano and flute. She plays music from a variety of genres, as well as writing her own music.

Tom Curry

Tom Curry, a graduate of Acadia University, holds a Certificate In Music Therapy (2012). Additionally, Tom completed a Diploma in Jazz Studies (2006), and at Bachelor in Arts with Major in Music (2009) from St. Francis Xavier.
In May 2012, Tom began his internship, under Peter Mutch at Catholic Family Services, Charlottetown P.E.I. Tom had the opportunity to work with Adults with intellectual disabilities, youth with autism and troubled youth. Following his time in Charlottetown he worked for Heartsparkes Music Therapy, where he worked with Homebridge Youth Society, individuals with autism and muscular dystrophy.

Folk Musician with a Jody Mitchell vibeJamie is from Moncton, NB and moved to Antigonish 3 years ago, she’s been playing music since her teens, originally inspired to pick up guitar by her early love of classic artists such as The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell etc. She has nearly 10 years of experience playing local venues across NB and NS, 3 years of experience performing in McSweeneys Dinner Theatre in Moncton NB, and dreams of one day taking her music across the country on a train.

”Paradise Public Radio”Husband and wife duo Craig Wood and Amy Melmock have been performing as Paradise Public Radio for more than two decades. Their music combines traditional jazz standards, and a love of musical theatre, folk, and country swing. Craig Wood is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, radio variety producer, songwriter and professional actor who founded one of Vancouver’s most eclectic rock groups “Papa Bear and the Medicine Show,” before penning the Number One Canadian single “Peter and Lou,” for folk artist Valdy.

Landon Morris

Landon Morris is a folk and rock singer songwriter living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He started writing songs while taking a guitar class at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish.
After being invited to play some songs on Adam Baldwin’s “Cross Country Chin-Up” livestream in 2022, he began recording his debut solo album “Nothing Good Ever Comes From Healing” which was released in September of the same year.

“I grew up in St. Philip’s, Newfoundland and have been in Antigonish since 2019. With the fortune to be raised playing traditional Newfoundland music, then finding solace from the punk scene in St. John’s as a teen, my music has a strong influence of both genres.
So grateful to be preforming for the Antigonish Art Fair.”

Clifton Pettipas

Based out of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada, Clifton has been performing live for 11 years. During this time he has hit the stage in venues across the maritimes and shared the stage with the likes of, T. Thomason, Andre Pettipas, Jon Hines, Leeboy and many more!
Since the age of 14, Clifton has been captivating audiences large and small with his songwriting ability, six-string work and powerful singing voice boasted by impressive range.
Taking inspiration from multiple areas of music and poetry, Clifton has used these influences to craft ear worm originals and reimagine favorite songs from the past to create a unique blend of folk/pop.
In a new era of writing, Clifton has begun to dig into a deeper well of inspiration and honesty to create a new set of originals and covers that connect deeply with audiences.

Mary Beth Carty & Bradley Murphy

Mary Beth Carty was named Traditional Singer of the Year at the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards this past April for her newest album, Crossing the Causeway, which also charted as the No. 8 album of 2023 on the Folk Alliance International radio play chart. Mary Beth has toured in France, Austria, Congo, Rwanda, and has performed aboard NCL and Holland America cruise lines.
Bradley Murphy, Fiddler from Cape Breton, Bradley recently released his first full-length studio album, beul, inspired by an ancestral trip to the western Isles of Scotland. The album features traditional Gaelic songs framed by ephemeral and rhythmic sonic landscapes. Bradley is also a proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and is an advocate for queer visibility and greater acceptance in traditional music spaces.

Kayla Fancy is a country music singer and songwriter from Truro, Nova Scotia. She has been performing since her teens and has been active in the Antigonish music scene for more than a year. She graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Music Therapy degree and is an important member of Antigonish’s live performance and music therapy communities.Her live show consists of contemporary and retro country classics and thoughtful and twangy originals. Her original music takes inspiration from a range of artists including Dolly Parton and Tyler Childers.

Em has been playing guitar since middle school and has since become a 4-chord strumming, coffeehouse regular. Originally from Winnipeg Manitoba, her music is influenced by all her favourite pop, folk, and indie artists like Mt. Joy, Phoebe Bridgers, and Taylor Swift.
