Sherry Neville-MacLean

Pottery teacher

Sherry loves to play with clay because it helps her find balance.  Another way she tries to enjoy life, is through collecting of mugs from other amazing potters.

One of the first pottery pieces Sherry bought (as an adult) was a mug by Yvonne Lynch, and it’s a mug Sherry still has in her cherished coffee cup collection.

Other potters who inspire Sherry, and have made their way into the cherished coffee cup collection are Robert McMillan, Monique Duclos, and Sarah Bonnyman - as well as Baden Creek Pottery.

Sherry is currently on the hunt for pieces from Finkle Pottery and Elizabeth Burtt Pottery (fingers crossed).

Life is short. Let’s enjoy the coffee experience with good quality coffee in good looking mugs while having a good morning conversation.

Sherry loves to play with clay as it helps her find balance – whether the balance is obtained by temporarily forgetting dreaded tasks like housework OR being able to process other aspects of her life while working with clay.
Some of her pieces are seen here…

She has learned plenty under some greats like Fran, Pat, and Fenn, but she still feels she has much yet to learn.

Sherry believes her love for pottery is also connected to fond memories of being with lots of wonderful women in her life – her mom, her aunt, and many of their friends – meeting regularly to enjoy each other’s company and ceramics in the basement of one of Sherry’s childhood homes.
