Fran has taken pottery classes wherever she could find them since 2014 and is currently taking courses at St. FX (now that she is “mature enough” says Fran).
She considers herself a hobby potter gone wild and
the more she learns, the more she realizes she needs to learn.
Frann has a studio in Georgeville where she’s “living the dream” with gardens, chickens, and guineas close to the shore. Because she doesn’t want her art to become a “job” she chooses not to have a presence on social media, but does sell at the Farmers Market in Antigonish a few times a year to “support her habit”.
Her first love is hand-building, with a focus on functional pieces.
She enjoys sharing her knowledge and spreading the joy that pottery brings.
She’s been lucky to have friends and family with talent to encourage and mentor her as she’s focused on this current chapter of her life.
