Write on! A Creative Writing Workshop
Laura Teasdale

We think writing and we think school. But we forget that writing is an art form just as much as painting or pottery or dance. What if writing is fun? In this workshop, each week we will explore a different form of creative writing with the goal of finding what style we like best; what is fun and fulfilling for us? Outside the school environment, with exercises and games we will write for the purpose of enjoyment and expression. At the end of the 8 week workshop, we will invite guests as we showcase our favourite pieces.

Genres of writing we will explore:
Short Story

8 classes (7 Mondays plus a final performance/showcase)
Every Monday starting January 21st
Final performance date TBA
Time: 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Cost: $180, includes materials
Ages: 10-16
